What is personal data?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) defines personal data as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This means that the information either relates directly to a person or can be traced back to that person. Data about organizations is not considered personal data.

About Us
Golfcentrum Amsteldijk B.V., located at De Afslag 1 (1186 VG) in Amstelveen, together with Loogman Tanken en Wassen B.V., located at Aalsmeerderweg 497 (1432 ED) in Aalsmeer, is the data controller under the GDPR for the data we receive from you.

Golfcentrum Amsteldijk b.v. is under the responsibility of Loogman Tanken en Wassen b.v. (this is where our administrative departments that process your data are located).

What do we use personal data for?
We process your personal data only for carefully defined purposes. We receive personal data from you because you are or will become a member of our Golf Club. The law refers to this as data processing necessary for the preparation or performance of a contract. In short, we cannot assist you as a customer if we do not process this data from you.

Your personal data is also used because we conduct marketing activities. Under the law, this is referred to as processing based on legitimate interests. Below you will find more information about the various purposes.

* To fulfill our agreement regarding membership in the 9 Worlds of Golf and/or the 9-hole A-status course, including the agreement with business members. This purpose is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).

For this purpose, Golfcentrum Amsteldijk may process the following personal data about you, among other things: name, address, date of birth (for technical reasons related to the GVB card), (cell) phone number (in case of emergency), email address (which we use to send you relevant and up-to-date information and targeted promotions), IBAN account number (used to collect membership fees), company name (used for events, business club memberships, and golf memberships if applicable), VAT number (tax legislation), NGF registration (registration of handicap increases/decreases).

*To comply with a legal obligation, which refers to the regulations governing direct debit (SEPA) and tax laws. This purpose is necessary for entering into or performing a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR) or to comply with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

*For marketing activities, to be able to contact you via email with targeted promotions and information. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). For this purpose, we use only your email address.

We also process data about you that you provide to us indirectly. This is because our website uses cookies for functional, analytical, and marketing purposes. The functional cookies are necessary for using the website.

The information in question is as follows:

• Location Information
• IP address or app IDs
• Web browser and device type
• Website Language

The data from the analytical and marketing cookies is not linked to the other information you provide during the ordering process. Please refer to our cookie statement for more information about cookies. The legal basis is consent, which you provide by agreeing to our cookie terms in the cookie banner on the website (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

When We Need Your Consent

If we process your data based on your consent, you always have the right to withdraw your consent. You can easily do this by sending us an email with your details and specifying which data you no longer want us to process. If we have no other legal basis for processing the data we process based on your consent, we will no longer use that data and will delete it.

With whom do we share personal data?

In some cases, we share your information with third parties. For example, government agencies or third-party service providers who assist us in processing your personal data.

However, we will never sell your information to third parties.

Processors who assist us in processing your personal data may only use your data in accordance with our instructions and for the purpose of performing the relevant services they provide to us. They may not use or disclose your data on their own.

Data collected through cookies is shared with the parties that set these cookies. We may also be legally required by government agencies or other parties to disclose your data. In such cases, we will only share the data that is strictly necessary.

How do we handle personal data?

Pursuant to Article 32 of the GDPR, we are required to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss of personal data or its unlawful processing.

Security

We take great care to ensure that personal data is properly secured. For example, the (personal) data you enter on the website is encrypted during transmission, and all (personal) data is transmitted via a secure connection.

Security Cameras

To protect our employees, customers, and property, our car washes, gas station, office, and premises are monitored by security cameras. These cameras are clearly visible, and when you enter one of our car washes, Golf Center, Febo, self-storage locations, office, or gas station, you will be notified of the presence of video surveillance.

We do not retain video footage recorded by our security cameras for longer than 14 days, unless there are valid reasons to retain the footage for a longer period (for example, if it is relevant to a police investigation). After that, we delete the footage.

Confidentiality

All of our employees and external service providers have signed a confidentiality agreement. We handle the information you entrust to us with care. That is why only certain employees have access to your information.

Where do we store your data?

We use various applications to collect and store certain data. To safeguard your privacy, we carefully select our vendors, and these applications are subject to strict regulations. Most data is stored within the European Union. For data transferred outside the EU, we work exclusively with parties that provide adequate protection in accordance with European regulations. If we process your data outside the EU (possibly through our external service providers), we ensure adequate protection of your personal data. For example, by using special safeguards that guarantee this protection.

How long do we retain your data?

We retain this data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which we use your data, and for as long as we are required by law to retain it. The exact duration varies—from a few months to many years.

Your Rights

You have the right to be fully informed about what we do with your data and why we need it. We provide this information through this privacy statement. In addition to the right to transparent information, you have the following rights:

• Right of access (if you want to know what information we collect about you);
• Right to rectification (we are happy to correct any information that is no longer accurate);
• Right to be forgotten (in some cases, you can ask us to delete your data);
• Right to restriction of processing (in some cases, you may ask us to restrict the processing of your data);
• Right to data portability (if you wish, we can transfer your data to another party or provide you with a copy of your data);
• Right to object (in some cases, you may object to the use of your data).
